Sunday Evening
Becca is doing well today and has a good spirit with her. She is still weak, but was able to sit in a wheelchair for about 40 minutes. That unfortunately takes about everything out of her. She was able to take the sacrament today, which helped a lot. I was comforted today in knowing that so many continue to pray for us. It seems every day they change their minds and we tend to start doubting. I know that this team is one of the best and I have to trust their decisions. The only thing more we know today is they still haven’t discounted the fact that the MS may again just be a side affect of the tumor and not really MS… hang in there, I know we are.
A friend of ours gave a cancer center a phone call to get more information about this type of cancer. They broke it down like this in the e-mail. Oncogenic osteoblastic sarcoma, a type of bone cancer. Oncogenic means: cancer causing, Osteoblastic refers to the Osteoblasts which are cells responsible for forming bone matrix (bone matrix is the connective tissue and mineral that gives bone its strength) and a sarcoma is a cancerous tumor arising in the bone, cartilage, fibrous tissue, or muscle. So more easily said, this is an osteosarcoma or bone cancer. (Please be careful what you look up, as I know I am. Most of what you find is only part of what it is. Apparently this is a common cancer found in children, and mostly in the femur bone. So that’s why it’s still a little difficult to find anything.)
I just wanted to share what little information we have for now, we should learn more tomorrow. Keep up the prayers and I’m so grateful for all the help we are receiving. I know some don’t feel like they have helped like they have wanted to… but hang in there, this might be a long trip for all of us. In the mean time, keep asking our Father in Heaven for a miracle.

Randy,
We just got word late this week about Rebecca and our thoughts and prayers have been with you ever since.
The boys sure looked happy to see their mom in the pictures you posted earlier this week.
God bless you and your family as you go through this. I know we’re not close by anymore, but if you need anything from Utah please let us know.
Dave and Bonnie Gwilliam and the boys.
Hey Rebecca,
I miss you and you are constantly in my thoughts and prayers. Your amazing faith has been such an example to me over the last couple of weeks. It’s as if you have been here visiting teaching me and you brought the best message ever! It has helped me more than you could ever know. You hang in there. We are all praying and cheering you on. The other night when we were having family prayer Nicholas prayed . . . “Please bless the Primary Singing Lady”. I smiled and thought of all the blessings you must be receiving from those “Primary Prayers”. We Love You at the Mower house.
love
Lori
Randy & Rebecca,
You are in our every prayer. Thank you for your wonderful examples of faith and strength. As we well know at our house, some miracles take time..hang in there. We love you and if you need anything we are here for you.
Love, The Binns Family
Hi sweetie! We look for your e-mails every morning and evening. You are so faithful to write and update us. We pray for all of you constantly and know how strong you and Becca are. Here is a smile for you…Yesterday I was trying to catch up with your mom at Chris’s house to wish her Happy Birthday and your dad had given me his number while he was writing me an e-mail the night before. Instead of looking up Chris’s number I called the number your dad gave me. A girl answered and I thought it was Beka. The phone had a great deal of static on it. I could hardly hear her and she likewise. Anyway, between the noise I asked if your mom was there yet? She said, “Who is this?” I said, “Honey, it’s Auntie Rhonda!” She said, “no they haven’t gotten here yet, I think they were going over to….” I finally figured out that this girl wasn’t Beka!!! I asked her if it was Beka and she said, “NO, it’s Jennifer!!” I started laughing and laughing and asked her why she kept talking to me and she said it was because she has an AUNT RHONDA and that is who she thought it was!!! Of course your whole family got a belly laugh out of it and I chastised your dad for giving me the wrong number and he just laughed and laughed!! That’s our family for you!!! Tell Becca what happened, she’ll get a kick out of it! She knows how I talk to perfect strangers, so why should this be different. I’m so happy Becca is able to sit up for a while at least. Give every one a kiss and hug…we love you..Auntie and Uncle Bryce

Dear Gibbons,
It was great to see you on Sunday Rebecca. Thanks for being such a great example of faith and grace under such trying circumstances. I appreciate your great attitude and the charity you constantly show towards others (in spite of the fact that you actually have every reason to think about yourself).
Randy, you are a great man, husband and father. We appreciated your testimony on Sunday.
Please remember that God is always with you (Isaiah 43:2). We will keep praying for you.
Let us know how we can help.

Dear Gibbons,
It was great to see you on Sunday Rebecca. You are a great example of faith and grace under difficult circumstances. Thank you for always being so concerned about others (the primary children and the janitorial personnel and nurses at the hospital, etc.). You are remarkable!
Randy, you are a great man, husband and father. Hang in there through all of this, and let us know what we can do to help. We will continue to pray for you all.
Please consider the beautiful message in Isaiah 43:2.
May God bless you always,
Bishop McEntire
