Day 65
We met with another surgeon today. It went well considering it was just the initial consultation. Becca will have a team of doctors working on her, so they just want to make sure we know all of them. We have hope that if the tumor responds well to the chemo, we may actually go back to Texas for a while to receive chemo treatments. We would then fly Becca back to Utah for the surgery. They want the tumor as small as they can, so we should know more about the 1st of November. We found out through the surgeon today that our main surgeon just finished with a guy who had a sarcoma in his upper shoulder area. All the doctors were talking about amputation and removal of his arm. But the chemo worked and the tumor shrank to the size of a pea! They did a very simple removal of it.. We know this can happen. We just pray that the tumor will continue to respond to the chemo… keep praying! All in all she had a good day, just some bouts with pain. They raised her pain patches, so hopefully she will be in better spirits and not have to use the oral pain meds as much.
Thank you all again for everything 🙂

Hi Gibbons Family,
I dont know you and you dont know me. I came across your info thru the LDS HFPE yahoo group. You have a great challenge in your midst and I admire your positive thinking towards it all. I know thats what Heavenly Fathers wants of us as we are enduring the trials of life. My thoughts and prayers are with Becca and your family.
I have 3 young kids myself and we look very similar in age. I cant imagine what you must be going through. My heart goes out to you.
I do want to share something with you that has been a HUGE help in my family as far as our health is concerned. Its called JUICE PLUS. A friend of mine told me about it about 4 years ago and I dismissed it for 3 years. That was until my oldest daugther got sick and was sick and missing school for a long time. I decided to give it a second look and started taking Juice Plus. We have had tremendous results with all of our health and it has for many others. The friend who told me about it, her husband was diagnosed with pheocromacytoma adrenal cancer at the age of 37. He had 4 young children and was sent home to live the best life he could for as long as he could. They said he might have 6 months and there was nothing they could do because it had spread throughout his whole body. They decided they were not going to let this defeat them and found out about changing their nurtition. They received great information from a nutritional doctor and they changed everything they ate. No sugar, no red meat, no white flour, lots of fresh, raw fruits and veggies the whole nine yards. Basically the Word of Wisdom. Within 18 months not only was he still alive his tumors had metastisized almost 100%. They also were juicing and found out about Juice Plus, whole food(real food) in a capsule. He saw huge results with these stratagies and lived 8 years. All along the way very healthy and functioning normal. He was a member of our bishopric and was a great inspiration to all those who he came in contact with.
I dont know if this is something you would be interested in or not but here is my website http://www.juiceplus.com/+da20553, it wont hurt to take a look. What convinced me was all the third party independant research that was done. Even one at BYU.
If you have interest, please dont hesitate to contact me. My prayers are with your family.
