Day 116
Just a quick update on Rebecca’s status. She officially has bacterial meningitis, which is really serious. See the link above for more information.
The good news is she was in the hospital when this presented. They are working on giving her high doses of antibiotics and she should be just fine. They won’t do chemo this Friday, as she has not left the hospital since last Friday due to the meningitis. We aren’t sure how she got it, but regardless they found it early.
Please keep us in your prayers, she really needs the help right now. Becca is in a lot of pain, severe headache, fever, and nausea. We love you all.

We have been in contact with your family and keep looking for updates everyday on Becca’s status. We were so sorry to hear about the newest problem, but the doctors are on top of things and it will be better, I know. Our prayers are constantly with you. I check the blog every day and have you in our prayers. Tell Rebecca that Brent had spinal surgery last week too. Remember all the problems he was having this summer? Rebecca was one of the first people to call and offer help to me! Anyway, he had to have a shunt put in his back last week and now they think he has bacterial meningitis too~! Just like Rebecca! It is so painful! Anyway, the worst part is not being able to have his kids come see him for fear of contamination. Tell Becca to hang in there.
