Day 202
Becca was able to come home on Wednesday from the hospital. She is doing well, but in some pain. She didn’t get very sick with this one thank goodness. They are trying her on some other pain medication, so we hope that it will help take care of it. Becca is doing ok all in all. She is trying hard to keep her spirits up and focus on the last few weeks of this.
We still don’t have much information from what the doctors reported. They just stated that it still looks like the tumor is responding to the chemo and that they will finish all the chemo and do the surgery at the very end. After the surgery, that’s it. They say the recovery from surgery could be a couple of weeks to a couple of months. It just depends on how bad the surgery is. We just ask that everyone continue to pray as much as they can that the tumor shrinks and that it’s not entangled in anything. The worst case scenario is they still take her tail bone, which could leave her paralyzed from the waist down. However, they won’t know anything until they go in and start the procedure.
I know that the worst case is tough, but the good news from that is they expect her to live. That to me is worth more than anything. We have to remain positive and remember she has beat the odds on everything up till now. Becca is strong and wants to make it. I know together we will make it. Please continue the prayers… He hears them! We love you.
