First Day of School!

I can’t believe that school has already started. Michael was so excited to go to Kindergarten. We had to have all of his clothes out and ready. He even got up before I woke him up. He was a little nervous about making friends. I walked him in to his class the first day. He told me that I didn’t have to come in. I told him that I had to to make me feel better:) The cute little boy next to him was having a hard time. I asked Michael to help make him feel better. He said he did. How cute. I also asked Michael if he made any friends, he said yes. I asked him their names and he said he can’t name them all. All the kids in his class are his friends! Way too cute!!! He loves school. I knew he would. He has a great teacher too. She is so quiet. Just what he needs.

Ricky also was excited for school. He was hoping to have our neighbor in his class, but he doesn’t. He also has a teacher this year that I don’t know much about. She seem really nice though. We will see. I’m sure he will manage. I still can’t believe I am old enough to have a 4th grader! I love this age though. Sometimes he can be a stink but most times he is good to me. As you know, Ricky broke his arm right before school started. We had to go to the Doctor’s to get the rods cleaned on the first day of school too. Poor boy. This was the first time we unwrapped it since his surgery. Cameron was with us too. He kept going up to the doctor saying “owwie” and pointing at his arm. It was cute. He also was worried about Ricky when he started crying when they were cleaning it. He was freaked out too. I of course had to take the camera to take pics for Daddy to see:) I won’t post them on the blog. I think I would gross a lot of people out. But if you want to see any, email me! I would love to share! We go back to the Doctor on Tuesday to get the stitches out. YUCK! I really think Ricky will pass out on this one. He didn’t even want to see his arm when they were just cleaning it… I know he is going to freak out when they start clipping. Wish us luck.

Cameron started school too. I am a terrible mom and forgot to take pictures of him getting on the bus and off. I will have to take some later. I do have one of him being silly at the Meet the teacher night! He loves school. When the bus comes he just yells “yeah” and runs. He is getting much stronger with the stairs too. He will climb upstairs standing. He just holds on the wall or the banister! It is so fun watching him. He is growing up on me. Although he still likes me to rock him and sing lullabies
and then tuck him in bed. It is cute:)

Ricky – It finally Happened

Well, Ricky finally broke a bone! He was skateboarding with his friends and had a freak fall. He landed in the grass on his left hand, but he must have been going a little fast on his new wheels.

You can click on the picture for a larger view:

He broke both of them, nice and clean. But Ricky is a tough kid! He did really well and now is not in much pain. It’s amazing what just a little dose of pain medicine will do to a little body… he can’t stop talking! Boy, you have to love your boys 🙂

Cameron has been riding at Spirit Horse since he was a baby. This place is the only FREE Therapeutic Center in Texas. Charles Fletcher had created an amazing atmosphere for these children. When I am there with Cameron, the whole world seems to disappear. The spirit there is unbelievable.

Cameron getting ready to ride!

Emily helping Cameron put the pad on.

Emily also helps Cameron with his fine motor skills by buckling the strap.

When he finally gets on he is the happiest. He thinks he is the ruler!!

Cameron also has to put everything back when he is done too. Michael loves to help. He also gets to ride when Cameron is done. I love SpiritHorse!!

Thank you ~Becca:)
