Finished!!!
I finally finished my fun project for Christmas. I started this Advent calendar about a month ago and this morning and I finally finished it!!! I love having kids in school:) My kids keep asking me if there was any candy in it yet. Of course not, if there was it would be eaten before December 1st! I think it is going to be so fun to have an advent calendar that is reusable every year:)
I am so excited I finished it before Christmas too. I have to say that doing it at my Crop for the Cure event on Saturday helped too. Everyone there was admiring it too.
I love other peoples approval of stuff. Sometimes you just don’t know if it really looks good or if you put the right colors together….I could go on and on. I was just so happy people actually like it and my kids LOVE it! Here it is!!
By the way Randy took Ricky’s stitched out on Sunday while I was sleeping:( We were at a friends house for dinner that evening and I asked the husband if he knew how to take stitches out…Here is how it all went:
Ricky: Um mom, Dad took them out already.
Mom: When!
Dad: While you were sleeping.
Mom: Why didn’t you wake me up! I really wanted to watch!
Dad: Well Ricky was really nervous. He only wanted me to be in there. He didn’t even want Michael. I thought you would be impressed?
Mom: I am totally upset with both of you. I was there for Ricky through all the surgery’s and I have been totally nice about everything. The least you both could have done was to wake me up so I could watch.
Then the conversation was done. I ate my dinner and tried to change the subject. I just could get over the fact that he did it while I was sleeping! The lesson I learned is to not nap on Sunday’s anymore. I might miss more excited stuff. The scar on his wrist looks really neat, but his elbow just looks like a bug bite with a scab. Today was the first day Ricky went to school without any wrapping on his arm too. He forgot to wrap it this morning. When we were walking to the bus stop he remembered it but it was too late. He was afraid that kids would run away from him because it looks gross. I told him that is crazy, you can barely see them anyway. He seems to be doing good!

ADORABLE!!! Are those tins on there? I love it, great job!
Yes, Danielle they are little tins so they can put candy in them. Thanks for the sweet comment:)
That is sooooo cute. I couldn’t make something that cute if I had all the time in the world. You must have some of the craft gene in you.
OH my Gosh! It is so dang cute!!!! You did such a great job on it. Love the patterned paper and the little numbers. Way to go, your boys will love it.
Great calendar! Your kiddos will have so much fun.
And you’re so funny about the stitches. I would have asked Spencer to do it while I was asleep. I can’t watch that kind of thing.
I’ve had a crazy couple weeks with company in town a few times, but my schedule is fairly clear these days if you still want to get together one morning.
What a beautiful family. I am so glad to see you are good. Very cute Christmas craft, can’t believe it is that time already.
Wow! I am so impressed. DId you come up with this idea on your own? I love it! I can’t wait to see what your boys think of it.
Hey Rebecca! It’s been a LONG time! Holy cow – time flies! I found your blogsite on Nancy’s…hope all is well. We need to get caught up one of these days! I hear you are scrappin’ with us in the Spring. That will be great to have you! Mind if I add you to my blog friends list? We’ll chat later!

Did you ever find out how you did on your last Crop for the Cure. How close are you to your goal?
Have you visited Chris’ website lateley? All the pics of the building of his home are there.
Have you visited my site recently?
I love ya’all! Kiss the boys for me!
How do I get to your cancer site without donating?
I submitted my book about 4 weeks ago. I sent an e-mail and they responded that they are reviewing it right now. Yea! I hope they publish it!
I forgot to tell you. The Crop for Fun pictures are on my website. You can tell people to visit it from your website and from your cancer site. Have them go to http://www.janandray.com, click on “Photos,” and then go to the Crop for Cancer link. I have edited most of the shots, but they are really good.
