I did it!!!!!!
I finished the Breast Cancer 3-day walk on Sunday and I was still smiling. I had such a great time. I was able to accomplish 56 out of the 60 miles. On Sunday my feet were so sore and frozen I couldn’t walk as fast as we needed to. Therefore I had to get in the van and get dropped off at the next pitstop. I of course got emotional about it. It was hard to see Beth walking alone. I have to say that I loved doing this with such a great friend like Beth. What a strong women she is. I am glad to be her friend.
I told my story a lot too. It was Beth’s idea to put on my sign: I am walking because I can… ask me my story…
It was neat to be able to tell so many women my story. I’m sure Beth has it memorized be now. It was still neat to hear other stories as well. Just being there with 3500 other women who all has a story was amazing. You almost can’t describe it. I was honored to be there. I will be going every year until I can’t go. This was so worth the hard work to raise the money.
I have to say “Thank You” to my friends that came to cheer us on:
Thank You Lori & Amy who came out with fun balloons and a great poster. Amy also took fabulous pictures too. I can’t wait to get my hands on those:)
Thank You to Maria Sievert who came with flowers and balloons on Sunday. I was thinking we were needing more balloons:) She is such a great friend to Beth.
A HUGE Thank You to my family!! Randy was so amazing. He made sure he came with the boys all 3 days to cheer us on. It made my day to be able to see them. Randy also made sure to post for me. He is the best husband ever:)
Also Thank You to Beth’s family too. It was fun to see a familiar face smiling you on.
I’ll have to post more great stories later. My feet hurt when I sit too long. I walked away from this with 6 blisters and a couple of hot spots. Also shin splints and a hurt knee. I still think it was worth it too!!

WAY TO GO!!! Great job, I am so proud!
Rebecca I am SO proud of you. I wanted to do that last year but the fee scared me off. If I knew a company that would sponsor me I would TOTALLY do it with you!!! I am so proud of you. Look how far you have come in a year GIRL! That is amazing! You are a miracle.
I am just so proud of you for this great accomplishment! I think I saw more than most the devastation that cancer had on your body just a few short years ago. I remember going from needing to help you brush tangles out of your hair after you tried really hard to wash it, to brushing your teeth! I wonder if people really realize that you actually were totally paralyzed…it is one thing to hear the story, but to be a part of it was something totally different! I am in awe that you made it happen this year, wish we could have stopped by, but I was cheering you on from here, praying for you daily! You still inspire me girl!!
I’m so proud of you! I was cheering for you all weekend, and kept checking for updates from Randy! Great job!
