Christmas 2009

Christmas this year was fabulous. Again we kept it very simple. Christmas Eve we have a tradition that we open a present that night. It is always a pair of pj’s so they can wear them for Christmas. This year I made their pj’s so they already saw and wore them so we can get the Christmas picture. Last year we had another family over that had the same tradition as ours except they also open any other gift they want. I LOVED that idea. So this year we did it and we will continue to do it. The boys all picked out their gifts. Michael was sooo excited to open his. He got new sheet set!!! Just what he was looking for:p HA HA. Cameron opened the same thing too. I don’t think Cameron really understood that it could have been a toy. Then it was Ricky’s turn, he opened their Sonicare toothbrush set! Whoo-hoo! They have been asking for one all year. We have been holding out to give it to them for Christmas. So needless to say they were very excited, but I kow they were hoping to pick the toy gift. They still were very sweet about it and loved their gifts and homemade pj’s.

Christmas morning was great! I got to sleep in until 7:30am! I was so surprised when I woke up and looked at the time. Randy and the boys were all waiting upstairs. We then started Christmas. Randy had to put on some Christmas music to set the mood. The boys all came down together. They were very patient with Cameron and came down at his speed. It was the sweetest thing. I don’t ever remember waiting for my sister’s to see what Santa brought. Man it was a race to get there first! Anyways, they were very surprised. They loved the blankets and then they saw the lego sets. Michael spotted it first and then looked over at Ricky’s stack and saw that his was bigger and tried switching them. It was hilarious! Of course we wouldn’t let him do that. He was upset for a little bit, but soon got over it. We just had to explain that Santa knows that he has more legos than Ricky does. It was pretty funny though I have to say.

Cameron sitting on the swing while pretending it is a horse. It was pretty cute.

Hudson looking on to the crazy event going on. This was our first year with him. I think he was happy:)

Santa brought him a few gifts too.

Cameron’s BIG Toy Story blanket. It is soooo nice too. I love it.

Ricky already reading his Diary of Wimpy Kid Dog Days. He had been wanting this since October when it came out. Of course we held out to get it for him so that Santa can bring it!!!

Cameron’s ready to help dad out in the yard this spring!!

The boys love the little remote control cars that Santa brought them.

Hudson already pooped out on us:)

Michael getting a BIG lego set from Grandpa and Grammy. He LOVED it!

Ricky got a BIG lego set from Grandpa and Grammy too!!!

Cameron got a Lepa Frog tag junior. It helps read the story books for him. That was from Grandpa and Grammy. The little apple in the corner picture is from his Abuela and Abuelo (Randy’s parents). Man did he love it! It is going to help with his speech.

Seriouly Hudson just couldn’t last. He went in his bed with his new gift from Santa. I couldn’t help but snap this sweet picture. He really is a sweet dog. I am so glad we have him.

Randy need shirts this year, so that is what most of his gifts were. He was very happy with it too. He is such a sweet, caring, and loving husband. I received a Cricut expression!!! I can’t wait to use this one. Now what to do with my little one? Randy also surprised me with a weekend at the four seasons resort here in Texas. I haven’t ever been to one so I am so excited to go. Randy also got me some really nice brown boots. The boys and Randy also got me some nice jewerly sets.
I can go on and on about what we all received, but that would be very boring. My boys really enjoyed Christmas. I really enjoyed being able to help out with Christmas with my Sisters too. This year Randy and I decided to give. It felt so good too:) The boys watched and hopefully felt the Christmas Spirit. All in all Christmas 2009 was a success.
