So today was day 2 on the high dose steroids. I have taken 30 pills on Sunday and 30 pills today. I’m having some bad side effects.
My legs and feet are very swollen and hurt bad. I called the doctor. She told me to put compression socks on. Luckily we kept them from 2006 hospital stay!! Putting them on was never fun. It still wasn’t fun, but I think it helps that I’m not a quad. The memories these give me though. Plenty of laughs and tears. The smell is oh so fun. I’ve had them in a bag with some exercise bands that smell like vanilla, so it’s not that bad. Thank goodness:) The doctor is taking me down to only 10 oils tomorrow and Wednesday, then five pills Thursday and Friday. That way hopefully the side effects can taper off easier. We will see!!

On a side note the doctor called me back. She is calling the pill into the specialty pharmacy. It can up to a week. Insurance takes long approving it. This waiting game stinks. I also have to keep taking the shot until I start the pill. Ugh:/
