Day 107
Becca had the port successfully installed today. Here is a link for more information about it. She only had a local, but I know she wanted full general anesthetic. She did well, but is in a bit of pain. It should go away in a couple of days and she is eager to get back on the healing path again. More than anything, Becca is relieved it’s over and can again focus on the chemotherapy.
Have a good night!

Yeaa, another giant hurdle accomplished by Becca. I know it was hard for Becca, but it brings you guys one step closer to coming home. I can only imagine how homesick y’all must be, nothing is more comforting than being in your OWN home. No matter where you are staying, there’s no place like home! Did they determine if Becca has a staph infection?
We continue to pray for you all. I know this is difficult on everyone- but your faith and attitudes continue to inspire and keep us all praying for Becca’s recovery, and that you get home soon. We all miss you!
Love,
Sherry
I am so proud of you, Becca. New things are always scary, but I really think you will love the port and how easy it is to use. I could tell that Emma felt an instant bond with you as soon as I told her that Sister Gibbons was getting a port just like her-I think it made her feel really special. We love you and continue to grow from your faith and strength that your family shows everyday. What a blessing for us. We will talk to you soon!!
