Day 68

Today and yesterday have been ‘resting’ days for Becca. She works really hard one day and ‘pays’ for it the next. It’s really hard on her as she wants to do so much but her poor little body won’t keep up. She is trying to get her strength up and she just wants to be able to pick up Cameron (who wouldn’t?).

She will start chemo again tomorrow afternoon and we are hoping it will go just like the first. It is a short one, only about 36 hours. All of her chemo will be done in patient, so she gets a ‘break’ from home life. Becca will have this for the next year, but perhaps we can do some of it in Texas.

Keep up the notes, cards, thoughts, calls, and whatever else you can… it really helps her. You all will never know the timing of some of your calls and little goodies. It brings her from a total downer to a sun shiner in moments! We love you all, keep up the prayers 🙂

By now, you are probably needing a new “box,” so I will keep my eyes peeled for another pretty container for all your special notes, cards, pictures, letters, emails, artwork, etc. If you are interested, let me know. You may feel like scrapbooking this whole experience someday and you’ll know where to find the material for the contents!:) Call me anytime. I think you know our number. If you ever just want to chat at all hours of the day or night, Becca, I am here for you! Luv,’Elle:)

Hello Team Gibb-
I’ve been out of town all week, and as always, one of the first things I do is check your blog upon my return for my Team Gib update!
Sounds like good news- Becca is continuing her fight- as is the entire family. The pictures are great. It allows me feel more connected with y’all since you guys have been gone for a while. Bright side- you get cool weather and some fall foliage- so don’t forget to soak in the beauty of your surroundings up there, it’s still hot and no fall colors here! And we haven’t grown any mountains since you left either! Darn it!
I know it is a blessing to have family so close and helping, so I’m grateful you guys have the support network- but we sure miss you guys here in TX.

Becca,Randy & family – keep the warrior spirit you have, it’s nothing short of a miracle. We miss y’all here-but you ARE winning the fight. The tumor IS going to shrink- it has no choice- there are simply so many praying and KNOWING you are winning- it just cannot be any other way.

Love to all,
Sherry
