Day 40

Today has been the first real day of physical and occupational therapy (PT/OT). Becca was able to work with OT this morning and actually dressed herself for the most part. She worked with OT and was able to stand up, move to her wheelchair and take a ride to the ‘gym’ area. She then was able to stand up using the parallel bars, hold herself for a minute, and walk to the end of the bars with little assistance! She is so determined to get better. It’s actually funny, she is thanking all the Therapists for helping and working with her. They are tickled to do it as they don’t normally receive compliments. Most just want out of here and feel they are stuck. We are thrilled and know it’s getting close to the road to recovery.

WOW! 40 DAYS! I am so proud of you both! Hang in there and keep up the faith. Way to go Becca! I am so glad to hear that the PT is going well. When Randy told me that you walked today I was thrilled. I know you miss the boys and want to go home to get some sleep, so keep up the good work. We know that there are many, many people praying for you daily and that the prayers are working. You are experiencing miracles every day. I am so grateful for your faith in God and know that he is blessing you daily. Keep working on your strength, Becca. We pray that this PT is short and that the cancer treatment is short as well. You are both an inspiration to us all.

Love you all!
