Utah Visit Overview

Becca made it home safely yesterday from Utah. She went to have her quarterly scans done. The scans came back clean, she is still cancer free! It was a quick visit but was able to spend time with some of the family while she was there. I was able to spend time with the boys at home and get some things done.

Now that Becca has been back to Utah, I will post some pictures. She wanted to keep it a surprise on her first visit.

Thank you all for keeping up with us and staying tuned. I will do better now on keeping up with the progress.

Love you all!

Healing Update

Becca is doing well. She continues to decline on the medication, which has helped with the overall recovery. She will go back for scans next month and for general follow up. Becca continues to have numbness from the neck down, but we hope that it will eventually heal.

The boys are doing well and have enjoyed the summer break. Ricky will go back to school soon, which will leave Becca without an extra special helper. He has done so well taking care of his brothers, she will miss it. Michael and Cameron are great and keeping us all very busy.

Overall, for now we just continue to pray for her healing and that we can continue grow together.

Please keep up with us, this is life changing opportunity! Keep the faith 🙂

Healing

Becca is still on the healing train. She has done well the last few weeks. Becca is taking care of the boys during the day and able to do just about everything. She does get a bit tired, so she needs a nap here and there. About the only main thing she can’t do is drive. But we are getting around that. I have moved up from nurse to chauffeur:)

The boys are doing really well, enjoying the time together and the summer. The weird thing is it has been raining almost every day for the last three weeks! Poor guys can’t even go out to play on their toys much. But I’m not complaining, I don’t need to water the lawn!

We love you all, please keep praying for her healing, we probably have a year to go!

Home Time

Well now that she’s officially home and cancer free, I don’t need to put in a day! Becca is doing well and everyone is adjusting. She is able to take care of the boys during the day, but boy do they wear her out 🙂 But who would ask anything less from three growing, active boys?

Becca continues to have pain and nerve pain, but they are working with her. Until then she is unable to drive, but it’s amazing what you can get done nowadays. She has had an amazing attitude and is ready to get back into the swing of things.

We continue to pray for healing, for both body and spirit. We can’t thank you enough.

Keep the faith!

Day 341

We made it!!!

Becca made it home for the first time in 341 days. It was a emotion filled day to say the least. It started at 3:45 am MST for a 6:10 am flight. The boys did well on the flights and we arrived 10 minutes early into big D (what else would you expect from Southwest?). We were surprised by a huge Southwest Airlines family greeting as we got of the plane, including flowers, banner, food, and lots of hugs! It was awesome 🙂

We then headed for the house, were we again were greeted by a lot of friends lining the street. It was so exciting to see so many people there to greet us. I have posted my very armature video of the event here on YouTube. Becca’s smile was so big and she was so surprised. They had tied yellow ribbons, had posters, and more flowers. A secret Southwest Airlines friend came by and planted some flowers in the garden… they looked great! She then came in and was surprised that we had painted the inside of the house while she was gone. Needless to say, emotions were running wild and it was overwhelming.

We cannot thank you all for all your generosity and help. It was truly a hero’s welcome. We have been surrounded by so many people who love us and it’s because of all of you that she has beat the cancer!

Becca still has a rough road ahead, but it’s nothing compared to what she has seen. It’s mostly recovery and follow-ups. She still is numb from her neck down, but she can feel. It will take time for her body to heal and regenerate. Her Doctors in Utah have given her the green light and will allow her to do anything she wants.

We continue to pray for her recovery. Our Father in heaven has watched over us and heard our cries. He has made us all better people because of it. Our testimonies have grown leaps and bounds through this opportunity, and we just hope that we can share it with everyone. We love you all! Please keep up with the blog, I plan on continuing with anything that comes up.

Thank you all SO much!
