Day 261

Becca went in on Wednesday for her latest chemo. She is doing well, we just have to wait for her body to process the chemo and get it out of her body. Once she has it out, then she can come home.

All in all she is doing well, just ready to go home. Please continue to keep her in your prayers, she is going to beat this beast!

Day 256

Becca met with the surgeon and had a great visit. He proceeded to tell us how excited he was that the tumor had ‘significantly’ shrunk. I hadn’t seen him in this type of mood. He seemed very positive and felt that the surgery would be small. Although he gave us the standard ‘but I won’t know until we get in there line,’ it seemed really good. Since she missed a few chemo’s, he will have to talk with the Oncologist before he will set a surgery date. But for now, he wants to finish the remaining chemo’s (5) and then do the surgery, since it’s responding so well. We tend to believe the surgery should be sometime in May.

So, Becca will go in tomorrow to start her next round of chemo. This is the Methotrexate, so it will be a few days until she will be able to come home. Keep up the prayers and wish her luck!

Day 254

Becca has been doing well the past few days. She is pain free today in her legs, which has been a challenge since her hospital visit. Apparently, bone marrow regeneration is a painful experience 🙂 She is just made of steel! We are just grateful she has been able to be at home and spend time with the family. As of now, she will go back in on Wednesday to get her next chemo round.

Becca received a visit from some friends from Texas on Friday. She had a GREAT time and it was a real pick-me-up for her. She has found some new energy and is ready again to attack the tumor!

Thank you all again so much for your continued support and prayers. We can’t do this without you, and Becca is working hard at trying to end this marathon.

Day 251

Becca finally made it home! She was released from the hospital yesterday and is doing well. Her blood counts were high enough that the doctors felt she was able to finish on her own. She was definitely all grins yesterday. It’s been almost two weeks since she has been able to ‘do what she wants.’ They told her she still needs to take it easy (I guess no skiing this weekend… he he) but they hope to start the chemo back up soon. She has completed 15 chemo’s and only has the 5 left… so pray that she can continue to heal and knock out the last ones!

Thank you all SO much for your continued thoughts and prayers. We can’t do this without you!

Day 247

I wish I could say Becca is finally home, but she’s not. She is still in the hospital. They can’t get her blood counts to come up. They have come up a little, but not near where they need them to be. The doctors can’t seem to figure out why they just keep staying so low. They are going to try and take her off some of the additional medication to see if that will help.

Please keep Becca in your thoughts and prayers. For those that are in Utah, she could use some visitors this week. She will be by herself for a few days due to scheduling difficulties. We know she will be alright, we just need her to get better.

We love you all.
