Day 76

Well, I gently tucked Becca into the Huntsman Center for this weekend’s chemo trip. It is the same thing as last week, Methotrexate. She will probably be there until Monday morning, which is hard on all of us. But we know it’s where she needs to be. They take such good care of her, we know that she will be alright. We still have someone with her 24/7, but there are many who want to stay with her. Becca is so positive and wants to get better soon.

Michael look out the window in her new room. Becca actually has a better view this time 🙂

Day 74

Having troubles keeping up with us? Good, me too. There doesn’t seem to be much going on between chemo treatments. Becca goes back in on Friday for the weekend. She is on a three weeks on, two weeks off schedule. What a bummer way to spend them. The good news is it’s only a short time compared to our lives/eternity. So what’s one weekend here and there anyway?

She is doing well, continuing to work through the therapy and the emotional struggle. I think it’s been a roller coaster for all of us. Becca is like a candle that keeps burning, reminding us what’s important.

Keep the faith.

Day 73

Becca is doing well, they released her yesterday from the hospital. The chemo is designed to destroy her body and then they reverse the chemicals. This takes time and that’s why she is in the hospital so long. Hopefully as she gets used to the chemo she can be released quicker, but we are on the cycle for this Friday and the next, then she will have two weeks off.

I just wanted to take a moment and thank you all for your love and support. I was able to visit Dallas really quick and I can’t tell you how good it felt. I was overwhelmed with love and support from you all. We are in this together and we will win. Becca looks good and is working hard to beat this!

Keep up the prayers 🙂

Day 71

Becca is doing much better today. She was pretty much out of it all day yesterday. She didn’t remember much of our visit because of the nausia drugs. The main side effect is drowsyness and they worked. Becca had a very good friend from Texas come up and visit with her. She will be here for the next couple of days. It always brings a smile to her face when she sees friends from home. Today she is walking around in the hospital again and she sounds like a million bucks. We miss her when she’s gone, but we know the chemo is doing it’s job and shrinking the tumor.

Love you all, keep up the faith and prayers!

Day 69

Becca is resting tonight back up at the Huntsman cancer center tonight. She started the chemo today, which by treatment plan is one of the quick ones. They said about 36 hours, but as we have found out, that is by hospital time. So, she may not be able to leave until Monday. But either way it will be in the best interests of her and her health, so we understand. I will document the name of the chemo for those that are keeping track. Becca is in great spirits tonight and is taking this like a champ.

The staff at the hospital just loved to see her again, everyone just commented on how well she looked versus the previous. It had only been two weeks and she is moving and getting around SO much better. We are just so proud of her and can’t wait for her to come back home. I think I’m going to take the boys up there tomorrow for a little visit!

We love you all, keep up the faith.
