The night was kind to her… thank goodness 🙂 Becca is in good spirits this morning. The Dr is supposed to come in and give us most of the test results. I can’t tell you enough how at peace I feel about moving her to the Huntsman. I know that this is the place we are suppose to be.
Becca is doing better this morning. We met with her new doctor who is a sarcoma expert last night and he was amazing. She has had a lot of tests today (he wants them done his way) just to make sure. So she may be a little tired today after all the scans.
Also, she probably won’t have any radiation, just straight chemo anmd physical therapy. Let’s keep praying for good test results and a speedy recovery. 🙂
Guest Blog… By Mark E. Rebecca landed in SLC and has been transferred to the hospital safely. Rebecca did great! They are getting settled into their “five-star” room and everyone seems upbeat about the trip so far.
Guest blog…by Mark E. I was able to see Rebecca, Randy and Anne off this morning and wanted to report to you all that everything went perfectly. Randy and I arrived early to “inspect” the jet and Rebecca and Anne arrived by ambulance. The Medevac guys transferred a smiling Rebecca to the tarmac and strapped her to a smaller gurney and 1-2-3 they had her in the jet.
They boarded the jet at approximately 9:30 and are currently enroute to Salt Lake City. Rebecca will be transported via ambulance to the Huntsman Cancer Center immediately upon their arrival around 12:30
MST.
Rebecca was happy, alert and just a tad nervous. The pilots, and other Medevac
personnel doted on her just like she was their own daughter and it was heart-warming to witness.
Their boys are in good hands for the next few days and will join the rest of the family in SLC on Saturday.
Our prayers have been answered! We have an air ambulance scheduled tomorrow morning. It is a pressurized cabin with a nurse. Flight time will be less than three hours. Anne and I will travel with Becca to SLC non-stop. We will then go to the Huntsman Cancer center in Salt Lake City.
The boys will stay overnight with some close friends and I will return the next day to get them.
We are just overwhelmed by the response for help and I pray that you all receive an abundance of blessings. May the Lord bless you all. I will post more and keep you all on our journey.
