Thursday Afternoon

Many asked what the blood treatment looked like. Here is the nice machine 🙂 After 5 days, you would think we would like it… not really.

Here is a picture when the boys came to see her for the first time after about a week.

Here is Amanda, one of Becca’s occupational therapists. Amanda is working with her movement.

This is Dr. Beshay. He is one of her main neurosurgeons. He has been working on his day’s off just to try and figure this out.

Wednesday PM

Becca is sleeping well tonight. She did a lot of therapy today, and completed more each time she tried. She’s pretty tired. We didn’t receive any additional news today, but she is going to keep working with the physical therapist for a while.

I wanted to note that on the right side of the page, there is an archive area. This has all the posts since the beginning. Also, I posted a link to my other website, although I haven’t updated the pictures in quite a while.

Tuesday PM

Today has been an exceptional day. Becca was just elated to see the boys, as were they. She looked very good and it seemed to re-energize her. We had a good 4 hour visit with her and the boys couldn’t get enough. Several doctors kept coming in and out to work with her but no one seemed to mind. The physical therapist worked with her and was in shock. Becca was able to almost pull her self to a sitting position. She then sat on the edge of the bed for several minutes unattended. If anyone knows, being flat on your back for over two weeks is very difficult on your body and muscles, not to mention the paralysis she went through. Becca has a great goal and I know she really wants to get out of there. We didn’t hear anything else today, but hopefully tomorrow they have more.

One other note. I just wanted to thank EACH of you who read this. I know this is a bit generic, but Becca and I are humbled and the generosity we have received. It is extremely hard to go through this as you can imagine, but all your prayers, time, donations, and love have made us feel as though we are part of a huge team, pulling us along to win the fight. There is no way we would have been able to make it this far without each and every one of you. It’s hard for Becca and I to not be the ones giving right now, especially me. I am grateful for your love and willingness to hang in there with us while we are in need. We are truly blessed. May the Lord bless each and every one of you. Together we will beat this!
