Yeah, I have some time to post!!

I have been wanting to post this for a long time now. I just haven’t had the time or even energy to do it. Many have said that I don’t post enough. Oops. I just get sidetracked too easily. I love reading everyone’s though!! Be aware, this one is lengthy, especially with pictures. We had so much fun.

Our most favorite babysitter, Bronwen came to visit us for a week in August. We actually talked her into staying one more day too:) I loved having her here. Just seeing the bond my kids have with her is amazing. She was the first babysitter for them when we moved to Corinth. Cameron was just a baby when we came. I still remember the day when Serena called me asking if Bronwen can watch our kids so we can go to the temple. I was so nervous. Not that I didn’t think Bronwen couldn’t handle it, it was because Cameron was still my baby. I was very protective of Cameron since he was born with Down Syndrome. I know it is silly. You can probably say that I am still very protective. What can you say, I love my boys! Anyways, she did such a great job that night, that we didn’t want to have anyone else watch our kids. She was ours! Now we are having different sitters. Still though Bronwen is there favorite. The other night she called to say hi. Ricky was having a bad day and asked to talk to her. As I sat at his bedside and listened to him talk to her, it hit me, he was having trouble at school. I can’t believe how open he was to her. Of course I was little teary eyed. That bond with her is so amazing! Thank you Bronwen for being there for my kids!!!

Bronwen was able to spend time with her BEST friend Allegra too. She was so sweet about giving everyone the attention they needed from her. Blake and Serena should be proud parents. Bronwen is amazing. If I could have a girl like Bronwen, I would in a heart beat. I loved spending some time with her as well. I guess its because I feel so close to there family. Blake and Serena were the ones that were there for me the Sunday I went to the ER. Blake gave me the most amazing blessing that gave me the hope I needed to get through my cancer trial. Serena spent the night at the hospital Sunday night, until Randy could get a flight back from Chicago. She was there for my mom too. She gave us the great idea to write on paper everyday what the doctors were saying. What a blessing that turned out to be. I am still trying to write my book. I don’t know what I would have done without the Biddulph family. I am sad they moved back to Utah, but happy for them. At least I go there every few months. I wasn’t able to see them this last trip, but maybe for Thanksgiving?!

One more thing I have to say is that shopping with a teenager is a totally different experience:) I loved it! It brought back so many memories of when I was there age. I loved having Allegra around too. Her family just had a baby with Down Syndrome:) I am so glad that I am here today to hopefully help them out whenever they need help. I love that little one too. My arms ache to hold her again. I just keep getting sick:( You know how I am about being sick around little babies…They are so gentle.

Hopefully now that I have a more open schedule, I can post like I want to. I love getting stuff off my chest and out there for my family to see. I guess this could be like my journal?

First Day of School!

I can’t believe that school has already started. Michael was so excited to go to Kindergarten. We had to have all of his clothes out and ready. He even got up before I woke him up. He was a little nervous about making friends. I walked him in to his class the first day. He told me that I didn’t have to come in. I told him that I had to to make me feel better:) The cute little boy next to him was having a hard time. I asked Michael to help make him feel better. He said he did. How cute. I also asked Michael if he made any friends, he said yes. I asked him their names and he said he can’t name them all. All the kids in his class are his friends! Way too cute!!! He loves school. I knew he would. He has a great teacher too. She is so quiet. Just what he needs.

Ricky also was excited for school. He was hoping to have our neighbor in his class, but he doesn’t. He also has a teacher this year that I don’t know much about. She seem really nice though. We will see. I’m sure he will manage. I still can’t believe I am old enough to have a 4th grader! I love this age though. Sometimes he can be a stink but most times he is good to me. As you know, Ricky broke his arm right before school started. We had to go to the Doctor’s to get the rods cleaned on the first day of school too. Poor boy. This was the first time we unwrapped it since his surgery. Cameron was with us too. He kept going up to the doctor saying “owwie” and pointing at his arm. It was cute. He also was worried about Ricky when he started crying when they were cleaning it. He was freaked out too. I of course had to take the camera to take pics for Daddy to see:) I won’t post them on the blog. I think I would gross a lot of people out. But if you want to see any, email me! I would love to share! We go back to the Doctor on Tuesday to get the stitches out. YUCK! I really think Ricky will pass out on this one. He didn’t even want to see his arm when they were just cleaning it… I know he is going to freak out when they start clipping. Wish us luck.

Cameron started school too. I am a terrible mom and forgot to take pictures of him getting on the bus and off. I will have to take some later. I do have one of him being silly at the Meet the teacher night! He loves school. When the bus comes he just yells “yeah” and runs. He is getting much stronger with the stairs too. He will climb upstairs standing. He just holds on the wall or the banister! It is so fun watching him. He is growing up on me. Although he still likes me to rock him and sing lullabies
and then tuck him in bed. It is cute:)

Ricky – It finally Happened

Well, Ricky finally broke a bone! He was skateboarding with his friends and had a freak fall. He landed in the grass on his left hand, but he must have been going a little fast on his new wheels.

He broke both of them, nice and clean. But Ricky is a tough kid! He did really well and now is not in much pain. It’s amazing what just a little dose of pain medicine will do to a little body… he can’t stop talking! Boy, you have to love your boys 🙂
