Day 161

Santa made an early visit to our boys today. Very unexpectedly, Santa appeared on our door step tonight with gifts for our family. The boys had a gleam in their eye as Santa wanted to make sure they knew that they were here in Utah this year. He told them that he would be back tomorrow night, but wanted them to remember he was checking his list…

Tears filled our eyes. You can’t imagine the joy that we feel. We can’t express enough the love, but the sense of generosity and compassion. I know that we are loved, but this is very humbling. I know there are many others out there that are doing the same thing for others and I pray that the Lord blesses each of you. It’s very difficult to be on the receiving end, but I now know how it feels to be blessed by so many who care. From a simple card, e-mail, phone call, blog, note, gift, or prayer, your love is felt. Please continue to give to those who need. It works, it really works.

We love you all.

Day 160

Becca is doing well and enjoying the time with the family. Her sister Jennifer, from California, was able to fly in with her kids to be able to spend Christmas with the family. Jennifer’s work wanted to give her the opportunity to spend time with us to lift Becca’s spirits and to help her own. They gathered gifts for the boys and had them sent out to help make it special for them.

It has been a blessing to have Becca’s whole family out for this very special time. The cousins are able to play and talk about what Santa will bring them this year. We all know that we have been blessed beyond measure this year.

Becca continues to work hard to get stronger, enjoy the time with the family, and make sure she can make someone smile. She means the world to me and I am just so thankful we have had this time together.

Please continue to pray for her, as well as for all those who need a special lift this year. I know that we all have our challenges and trials, but I know that our Father in Heaven loves us and wants us to be happy. We can find this happiness through our family, faith, and our trust in Him. May the Lord bless us all this holiday season. We love you, keep the faith.

Day 156

Becca is out of there! She has been released today and is able to spend Christmas as a family. Becca did so well with this chemo and cleared the chemo very quickly. She ate a TON of ice chips and walked around the complex a ton. They don’t know for sure what clears it faster, but this has been the fastest we have gotten out of there with this type of chemo.

Becca is doing really well and eager to spend time with the family. She won’t go back in until the 27th, so we are all excited. The boys are doing great and are so focused on the Holidays they aren’t missing home too much right now.

Thank you all SO much for your love and support. We can not do this without you. Please continue to pray for us, especially that the tumor continues to shrink. I know there are many who are praying for us and for that we are forever grateful. We love you all.

Day 152

Becca is doing well, she is over the nausea for the most part. She still has it from time to time, but it’s nothing like it was. She is getting ready for tomorrow’s chemo trip, even though not real keen on it.

All in all she is doing well and ready to get this round over with. We will have a gap since she was able to ‘negotiate’ with her doctors to spend Christmas with the family. But given the situation, we all know it will be better for all of us if she is able to be with the family during the Holidays.

Please continue to pray for us, we can’t do it without you.

Day 148

We had Cameron’s birthday over the weekend. He won’t turn 2 officially until next week, but Becca will go in for chemo on Friday. It was a lot of fun and nice to see the family again. I think it was the best for Becca as it really lifted her spirits.

Becca has been doing well up until today. She became very nauseated and couldn’t keep anything down for 15 minutes all day. We believe it was her anti-nausea patch behind her ear was really working and we didn’t get a prescription for it. Usually they give it to her in the hospital and she is able to remove it after a day or so. But apparently it was working really well until it ran out. So I got her a few to get her through the week. It takes a long time to get it back into her system, I just pray she is able to get the rest she needs.

Becca is so looking forward to Christmas, as am I. It has been a roller coaster to say the least and I think it will be good for her to focus on something else for a change. The boys are a great diversion and it’s been nice to play and shop with them.

Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We are going to continue to fight and keep the faith!
