Saturday

We were able to visit with Becca today. The boys and I had a good time. She was a bit tired and nauseated, but she still enjoys the time we get to spend together. I have to say it’s getting harder each day, the energy level is starting to decline a bit. She really wants to get out of there, but there’s not much we can do. I know this will all work out, but we will keep praying that we can find the solution.

By the way, in case you haven’t tried this, just click on the pictures and it will open them in a full view. 🙂

Friday – PM

All in all it was a good day. Becca was able to stand again today, as well as sit in a chair a few times. We also received the information back on the third spinal tap, it was completely clear. This is a VERY good thing. It means as far as they can tell the cancer has not spread!

The question still remains, what do you need? We need a plane… kinda funny isn’t it? Since I work for an airline and all. But I know everyone is doing what they can to help out. We need someone who can take her lying down, or very reclined, from Dallas Love airport to Salt Lake City. They are allowing us to go and SLC wants her 🙂

We just want to share our love with everyone again and thank you for hanging in there with us. There are so many unknowns with this, but I know that we are doing what we should. The Lord is with us and will listen to our prayers. We just need to have faith. Keep up the prayers!

Friday

Becca is doing well today. She is sitting a few more times today, as well as standing for a minute or two.

We found out that she has a bed now at LDS hospital for Monday. With the latest security threats, we are now looking into private aircraft again. The thought was to fly her on a commercial aircraft, but the problems at the airport might be way too much for her. So for now, we are back to making plane connections.  I don’t think we can do it by Monday, but who knows?

The doctors met today and they are really confident she will need both radiation and chemo. They believe the spots and the tumor are related again. So we will see. Becca’s spirits are high and she is getting stronger each day. We contine to pray as I know each of you are!

Thursday PM

A friend of mine once told me that it’s not what you know, but the relationships you build and how you are perceived that will help you be successful. I feel like the richest man on earth. I just wanted to pass this along.

Becca had a good day today. She was able to almost pull herself up to a standing position by herself 🙂 She had a spinal tap again today. If you have never seen one, I don’t recommend it if it’s someone you love. She did exceptionally well, I on the other hand needed to sit down a time or two. Something about a foreign object in your spinal cord that doesn’t seem right. Now I have three boys, so I have seen a epidural or two, but man. The steady hands of her doctor just amaze me. He is truly talented. We should get the results in a few days. They just want to solidify the fact that the cancer is not spreading through her spinal cord.

A few have asked about the trip to Utah. For now we have come to the conclusion that we need to get Becca a bit stronger for her to be able to sit for a few hours at a time. This may be a week or two, but we still have some time before they start the radiation. This way we can transport her by a commercial airline, rather than a special plane. More to come with this.

Thursday

Becca is doing well this morning. She has a spinal tap sometime today, as well as more stitches will be removed. The goal now seems to be get her physically better so that she can be transported upright. It may be a few weeks, but we have some time until they are going to start the radiation and chemotherapy. She is holding up, some days are a little rough. She is trying so hard to recover quickly that I think she feels down when she can’t physically do it. But that’s ok, Becca is a fighter! We are hanging in there.
