Day 202

Becca was able to come home on Wednesday from the hospital. She is doing well, but in some pain. She didn’t get very sick with this one thank goodness. They are trying her on some other pain medication, so we hope that it will help take care of it. Becca is doing ok all in all. She is trying hard to keep her spirits up and focus on the last few weeks of this.

We still don’t have much information from what the doctors reported. They just stated that it still looks like the tumor is responding to the chemo and that they will finish all the chemo and do the surgery at the very end. After the surgery, that’s it. They say the recovery from surgery could be a couple of weeks to a couple of months. It just depends on how bad the surgery is. We just ask that everyone continue to pray as much as they can that the tumor shrinks and that it’s not entangled in anything. The worst case scenario is they still take her tail bone, which could leave her paralyzed from the waist down. However, they won’t know anything until they go in and start the procedure.

I know that the worst case is tough, but the good news from that is they expect her to live. That to me is worth more than anything. We have to remain positive and remember she has beat the odds on everything up till now. Becca is strong and wants to make it. I know together we will make it. Please continue the prayers… He hears them! We love you.

Day 196

Becca made it safely back into the Huntsman yesterday. She went in early and had all the scans done. We have heard early results that the tumor is still shrinking, but we won’t get the full report until we meet with the surgeon. Our Oncologist will meet with him on Monday, so hopefully sometime after that we will hear the ‘official’ good news. This will determine when he will do the surgery and how much chemo she really has left. Becca will stay in the hospital until Tuesday or Wednesday as this was a week chemo trip. She is doing well. She is spending most of the time alone, so she love getting phone calls 🙂

The boys are doing great. Ricky is still ‘off track’ from school as they are year round here. He is enjoying playing with the neighbors, cousins, and his brothers.

Keep praying for a miracle… we’ve come a long way, the relief is just around the corner. My the Lord bless each of you. We love you.

Day 192

We broke Becca out on Sunday 🙂 She is doing well and she isn’t very nauseated. She has the scan’s on Friday finally, so hopefully we will know how small the tumor is in the next few weeks. Becca also goes back in on Friday for a week long chemo. This should be the last ‘week’ long one, but we’ll see.

All in all we are doing good. We are keeping up the faith and rolling with the punches. We just continue to ask for your prayers and words of encouragement. We cannot do this without all of your help!

Day 188

Becca is still doing well. She is still up at the hospital recovering from the last chemo. We hope she is released tomorrow, but it will depend on her levels. It’s hard for her to stay in this long, but it’s becoming a norm for us. Becca asked that she could see the boys, so we brought them up. It was great to see the smile on her face just to be with them for a moment.

We just continue to pray and thank our Father in Heaven for all the help. We know prayer works and know that the tumor has shrunk. We should find out in a few weeks where she is and hopefully, she only has 5 more treatments 🙂

Keep the faith and the prayers. We love & miss you.

Day 184

Becca is doing well. She is just trying to get her counts up so that she can start her chemo again tomorrow. The boys are doing well. Ricky is ‘off track’ now for the next several weeks, so he can help out around the house with Cameron and Michael. It really helps Becca to see the family and do things together.

We just continue to pray that everything is still going according to plan. We will see the main doctor again in about a month to do the scans again and see how far the tumor has shrunk. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers… we feel them every day! We love you all.

Oh, one last thing, for those of you that think that Becca is wearing a purple wig or she dyed her hair in our Christmas card, guess again 🙂 She is wearing a hat that her grandmother made! If you did it’s ok, there are a lot of you 😀
